Design notes for picture & vanity lights
Use linear vanity bars, picture lights and compact wall-mounted forms to achieve focused vertical lighting for mirrors, artwork and detailed surfaces. A coherent result depends less on matching every finish than on keeping scale, light direction and visual hierarchy intentional.
Measure the complete composition
Include canopies, backplates, arms, cables, shades and the empty space around them. Evaluate reflection, mounting width, projection and documented location suitability. When several fixtures repeat, calculate the total span and spacing as one installation.
Check both switched off and illuminated
During the day, the fixture is an object in the room; at night, its glow and shadow become part of the architecture. Review both states and remove distracting sources or reflections from the principal views.
Product-specific checks
Only rely on information confirmed for the chosen size and variant. Review voltage, control compatibility, source, color temperature, mounting, weight, included accessories, care and documented location rating where relevant.
See the Evenlyr guide and consult a qualified professional for installation.
Mirror and artwork views
For mirrors, check the reflected image of the source from normal standing positions. For artwork, consider frame depth, surface reflectance and conservation needs. A picture light and a vanity light may share a linear shape but should not be assumed to perform the same task.
